Udranj is a fabric-painting studio where fashion meets hand-painted surface design. Each piece is approached as fabric art—colour, motif, and material working together so what you wear feels personal, not mass-produced.
Nazneen Syed — Founder & creative lead
Founder — Nazneen Syed
Nazneen Syed leads Udranj with over twelve years of experience across fashion design and fabric painting. Her training in garments—proportion, silhouette, and how cloth moves on the body—still informs every layout she paints today.
Over time her focus shifted from the runway sketch alone toward what happens on the fabric: brush rhythm, pigment on silk and cotton, and the small decisions that make a textile feel alive. She is most at home in fabric art—treating each commission as a collaboration between artisan, material, and the person who will eventually wear or gift the piece.
Under her direction, Udranj stays deliberately craft-led: limited reliance on digital repeats, emphasis on hand skill, and honest conversation about timelines, care, and what hand-painting can (and cannot) promise on different bases.
